I've been a part of a number of children's choirs, string ensembles, bands, and other choirs over the years. However, I've never directed one, let alone start one from scratch. And I've also never led out in any type of children's groups. Let me see... have I had any instruction in elementary education...? Nope. I found my college diploma, and when I looked at it, it still said Computer Science.
So I've been having a bit of anxiety and some mild panic attacks when I think about what I've gotten myself talked into doing...
I suppose it's all the better for God to work his grace -- and I'm going to need a flood of it, really, really soon. And I'm going to need a few more spiritual gifts that I don't yet possess.
