Few images from a cold and clear day

Yesterday was clear and cold. On the way to the church, I stopped to get the image of the frozen slough. After getting back home, I found the Coast Guard vessel in the middle of the water, stopped to repair one of the buoys. The birds in flight was at around the same time. I'm not sure what species they are -- they might be scoters.
